Jennifer Bay-Williams is a professor in mathematics education in the Department of Elementary, Middle and Secondary Education. She has authored over 40 books and 100 journal articles/book chapters that focus on making mathematics meaningful to all students. Recent books and articles have focused specifically on procedural fluency and developing mathematical proficiency, including a seven-book series titled Figuring Out Fluency and Math Fact Fluency. Several of her books have been translated into other languages. She is an international leader in the field of mathematics education, frequently speaking at state, national, and international conferences and serving on national boards.


Four 90-minute webinars with math fluency expert Jennifer Bay Williams followed by four 1-hour virtual follow-up sessions led by MN Math Leaders to connect the learning to the 2022 MN Math Standards. Follow up sessions will be held the weeks of October 12; January 11; March 1; March 10.
